Don Lucey during a recent tour of Iraq Don Lucey from Swindon is on a mission: to tell the world about the medical malpractice that he claims took the life of his 40-year-old wife. In 1995 Christine Lucey died from cancer and ever since Don has been determined to share the experience with a worldwide audience.
And when he completed his book The Woman Who Wouldn't Die, Don could not have imagined where it would have taken him.
Don wanted to alert others to the fact medical staff can (and do) make mistakes.
His one-man campaign to spread the message has taken him across the world and the book has been read by many famous and influential people including America's former first lady, Hillary Clinton.
In a personal letter to Don, Mrs Clinton wrote: "Thank you for the copy of The Woman Who Wouldn't Die. You have used your personal loss to inspire and help others. You were very kind to share your work with me."
Christine was treated at the former military hospital at Wroughton. The Ministry of Defence, which was responsible for the running of Princess Alexandra Hospital paid Don £420,000 in compensation.
Don's former career in military service led him to being invited to join the troops during the Iraq war.
After telling his story on BBC Radio Swindon, Don gave BBC Wiltshire exclusive access to his unique photographic record of that trip.
