Three Colored Donburi
   2 1/2 cups short-grain rice (to make 7 cups steamed rice)
7 ounces (200g) ground chicken or beef

Seasoning for ground meat :
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons mirin
1 teaspoon grated ginger

4 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar for the eggs
15 - 20 snowpeas, cut into slivers

Saute ground meat with the seasoning ingredients. Scramble eggs with the sugar. Boil snow peas in lightly salted water and drain. Mound the hot, steamed rice onto four individual serving plates or bowls. On top of each serving, arrange the ground meat, scrambled eggs, and snow peas into three distinct sections. Serve hot or at room temperature.
