So some of you know it, I organise some tests for Neubauer in Belgium. I have received the 4 new rubbers from Neubauer.
So I have planned some personnal tests, then tests opened to everyone in several clubs in my area and then the rubbers will travel in Belgium via the Post.
Here the first test of the Boomerang classic 0.6 mm.
First I have to say that I glued it on the morning and played in the evening, I learned after this with discussion with Neubauer that the new ones are very sensitive to the old glue.
I tried it on a Tibhar Cos3 as it is advised to use a def or all - blade.
If I had to resume it to one word, it would be : Easy. Really, it is easy to used it, you heve the feeling you use it from several years and you think you can do everything with it. I don't say you don't make any mistake with it but it doesn't ask a lot of training to use it basically.
Of course, you have to forget the Superblock, it is not the same inversal spin, you can generate your own spin but you are not as disturbed whit the incoming spins as with a Curl P1R for example. I found it also slower than the Curl giving an impression of feeling.
You can do everything with it, choping is easy but with light spin, you have to make a quick wrist move to give more spin and there it is disturbiing, so forget passive return, just put your racket in front of the ball won't return any inversal spin.
Also to return a service, you need to be careful, it is not insensitive as the Gorilla or the SB, so take care, it is less sensitive than a Curl but it is not a frictionless.
Attacking and blocking are also possible, blocking will ask you to make a chop block if you don't want to return an easy ball. Just put your racket will give the opportunity to attack, make a chop block and it will be more difficult. Attacking is easy, also against short balls.
So I will tell you more after the next test.
